Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2.18.895.379 ĪV: McAfee VirusScan *On-access scanning enabled* (Updated) I am attaching the logs that it talked about in the new instructions I hope I am attaching them correctly. Any help you can give me would be very appreciated. I can't figure out why it didn't quarantine whatever this virus is? Also now a screen pops up on its own that shows my C drive.
Right when this started happening I ran a quick scan with McAfee but it didn't catch anything so I immediately ran a full scan which also showed no problems.
When I am offline it continues and if I don't shut the computer down at night when I check it the next morning it will have 16 promo and 32 internet explorer windows open saying it can't find server. Sometimes I have to use ctl alt del to get them to close because it won't let me just click the X or cancel it. Sometimes some sort of scan will just start on its own and tell me I have viruses in various places. Some of them were maintraffic and malware defender 2009 and virusremover2009_setup_free_rezer_en.exe and several others. After awhile this same warning would pop up but with a different site it would send me to. Then a screen popped up saying immediate anti virus check various signs of viruses and malware program presence. Several days ago a message popped up saying "Warning you have a security problem". I am running Windows XP and I have up to date Mcafee.
